Hi So I am running a Lunyee 3018 Pro, have been using it happily with UGS for a little while, then I installed Gsender 1.4.12 . And it was great. Didnāt use it for a while, in the meantime I clicked when it asked to update to the latest version 1.5.2, I also installed Lightburn and laserGRBL (not sure if this is relevant)
Now, when I start it I always get error:2 (Bad number format)
Now when I run any jobs (that did work before and also still work on UGS), it usually runs for a little while a few lines of code, and then it errors and goes into Hold (with the spindle still running) and usually shows error code ID:24
this happens even with the sample gcode supplied with the router ie not my jobs out of fusion.
As I said, same code works great under UGS. I have since tried uninstalling Lightburn and LAser GRBL, as well as rolling back Gsender to 1.4.12 all to no avail?
Its really frustrating becaiuse I love GSender, it is so much slicker than UGS. And from the looks of it I can run the laser in it too.
Welcome to the forum. I have entered a search for I believe to have read something simular happening to someon and came up with this here topic that has a solution to it. It may halp you?
Well, to be honoust, I have never upgraded beyond Gsender1.2.2 because it does what is has to do for my longmill with laser, so I can only speculate.
It seems that upgrading/downgrading does not completely erase a settings file. I speculate that since the newer edition of gsender (1.5.x and up) are more grblhall orientated, the setting for that bleeped your machine was switched. Downgrading to 1.4.12 did not delete that setting.
To up/downgrade fully one has to delete or rename this file to start fresh.

Totally agree, in fact I canāt remember actually choosing to upgrade, my guess is the upgrade reminder was right next to the load job button, might have pressed it by mistake and not noticed.
The new interface is quite nice though, glad I have it working. Of course, I canāt leave well enough alone, it looks like I can run my laser from gender instead of having to have lasergrbl, just need to figure out how, and hopefully not mess up the CNC settings in the process
