Attempting to use surfacing from gsender

attempting to use the surfacing feature in gsender.

i set the size to 49. x49.
the bit is 1.5’‘ and when it generates the gcode its for a very very small area. what setting am i missing?
i tried using carveco maker to make this happen but the altmill gives me a soft limit error. so i am going with just one problem at a time. i want to make the surfacing option from gsender work. point me in the right direction?

@courtney There is a known bug in the surfacing tool in 1.5.5. You can read about it here

Surfacing Tool wouldn't accept alteration of project dimensions

Recently updated to 1.5.5 and when trying to surface a board alteration of dimensions refused to change after multiple attempts. Appeared to import dimensions from previous version but could never have the changes accepted. Back to 1.5.4 and all worked fine.

Sounds like you run into the same problem discussed in this topic. (A few posts down - settings carvecomaker)?

Starting to get really frustrated with the altmill 4x4

just finished building a bridge across the ditch in front of my house for my trash can to sit on. yeah. i said that. lol. after i cool down a bit i will see if i can find an adjustment in carveco to compensate if that is the problem.

yeah. i had to relearn how to make the files. offset on the material set up. starting position. all reverse of what i got used to. but i got it running. also having to adjust the hold down methods as the altmill is a lot more powerful and will happily sling your work piece all over the bed if its not super secure.
